A Fully Restored Series 3, rebuilt onto a new galvanised chassis and bulkhead, and fitted with a recently rebuilt petrol engine along with a syncro gearbox. The addition of an overdrive and free-wheeling hubs have been added for enhanced usability.
The bodywork presents very well , with an even finish in period-correct Bronze Green metallic.
The vehicle has been subject to extensive recent work and has just undergone a mechanical inspection.
Engine rebuild included - big end bearings, main bearings, timing chain, piston rings, hardened valve seats for unleaded fuel, new alternator, electronic distributor, carburettor, clutch, water pump, along with all seals and gaskets, plus oil and filter change and a new fuel pump.
The gearbox has been stripped and rebuilt, including new gaskets and seals. Additional work includes handbrake shoes, a new speedometer cable, and fresh oils in the gearbox, transfer box, and overdrive.
A fun and dependable soft-top Series 3 offering excellent all-round drivability.
